GM OBD-Prog

„GM OBD-Prog” – a standalone device for electronic key registration on European GM passenger vehicles: Chevrolet and Opel (2009-2014).

Operation sequence (step-by-step instruction):

1. Make sure the vehicle's battery is fully charged.
2. Put new key into ignition lock and turn on ignition.
3. Plug “GM OBD-Prog” into diagnostic connector of the vehicle.
4. To enter key registration mode ignition must be turned on for 10 minutes. The device will countdown 10 minutes
with beep signal every minute.
5. After 10 minutes you will hear rising beep. Turn ignition off and on within 10 seconds.
6. The device will beep three times. It means the registration procedure completes successfully.
7. Turn ignition off. Now the new key is registered within the system and engine could be turned on.

Please pay attention! If any error occurred during registration procedure you will hear dropdown beep. If the error occurred after initial 10 minutes period, new countdown will not start.
After registration procedure new key become locked and cannot be registered on other vehicle. It is strongly recommended to use only original key blanks.
